Eggs!

Steadily getting about three eggs a day for the last week or so. Two from some of the big girls, and one from the Bantam. Go, chickens!!

I'm also pleased to report that when I visit friends in Austin (and sometimes when I visit friends in town) they want to know if I've brought the chicken food bucket. woot! That makes me so happy I want to bounce.

A few of the tomatoes ripened. Our dinner last night was yard egg omelets with home grown tomatoes on the side. Someday we'll have a whole meal from our yard. I'll post pics. :P

Hope everyone had a happy Samhain/Halloween and has plans to spend time with family for the Harvest festival. If you don't have anywhere to be Thanksgiving weekend and you can arrange to be here: speak up in the comments and we'll throw together a gathering! (Notice me putting that out there without consulting the cook: no worries though, it will be fine as long as it's potluck.)

I will be working the weekend of Thanksgiving, but Mama and I have decided to have our Harvest dinner on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and would love to have you, MamaJ, the kids, and whatever other folks you want to bring along come out to the Barn for Harvest dinner with us. There will be pie, turkey, and other fun and yummy stuff. If you have a special dish you want to share please bring it. :-)

Oh, yeah...would you prefer that I finish both curtains before delivering them or would you like the one that is finished now and have me deliver the second as soon as it's ready? I'm sorry it has taken me so long!

I'll check with those involved and see what we can do about Wednesday. :) PM me please and let me know who all will be there so we can give the kids a heads up if we are able to come out. (Monkey is in that stage right now)

Sooner is better with the curtains, that room is bright at night without them and it's hard to get good sleep. I'm sure even one of them would be better than none. Let me know if you need me to pick it up or if you prefer to deliver.

Hope you had at least as much fun this last weekend as I did!

Sweet! I'm glad their picking up.

Despite being nearly 100% certain that Louie hasn't yet defeated the new Puggle Guard(tm), I've still had eggs experimentally left in the coop after opening it up disappear before bedtime. I'd really like to put a little bluetooth webcam or something in there to see WTF is going on. So, it's also possible you may be having eggs pilfered by some Mysterious Force, and you could increase production by finding out what's going on.

It doesn't work on video. You need to watch more bad horror movies. :) Hercules *totally* could have used his iPhone instead of the mirror, and Medusa's days of cock-mangling would still have been over.
