In response to a comment by dirtwitch , I decided to write a list of the books here that we have actually read and/or attained and intend to read. If any of you permaculture/gardening folks can recommend others, you can give us a recommended reading list in the comments and we will add them to our "thrift store watch list" (which is where most of these came from).

We have also, of course, surfed the internet. A lot. But I'm not going to list website links in this one. I'll put those up in a separate post later. For now, these are "made of trees, hold them in your hands" books we are talking about. :)
